One of the top players in the Class of 2028 has decided to join the ranks of the Elite.
ESPN-five star ranked prospect Brady Pettigrew announced on Thursday that he is joining BBE for the upcoming EYBL season.
Pettigrew was ranked No. 15 in the nation by ESPN earlier this year, and is also ranked the top player in the State of Illinois as well as the Midwest as a whole, and the No. 4 shooting guard in the Class of 2028.
The 6-3 combo guard is ranked in the Top 20 in the nation for 2028 by every recruiting service and currently holds offers from Florida, Florida State, Cal, BYU, Arizona State and Seton Hall among others.
He is also a member of the USA Basketball feeder program and one of the top contributors at Bolingbrook High in Illinois as a sophomore.
“What sets him apart is his work ethic, that’s his No. 1 thing,” says Rob Brost, Pettigrew’s coach at Bolingbrook. “Obviously he’s an elite athlete but he works tremendously hard individually and at practice as well. Those are things that set him apart from the normal really good player. When you have a player of that caliber and he has the work ethic to follow, it’s a recipe for a really elite player.”
Bolingbrook is 22-7 this season, including a perfect 16-0 record in conference play heading into the Illinois state playoffs this month.
Once their playoff run is complete, he will join BBE with the first EYBL tournament of the year slated for late April in Atlanta.
