Bradley Beal Elite standout JJ Andrews was recently honored as one of three players to receive the inaugural Leadership Award presented by the Army National Guard.

The award, which recognizes exceptional leadership both on and off the court, was announced in a special ceremony where Sergeant Vasquez shared what it meant to her to be a leader.

“A leader does not fear being uncomfortable. A leader fears nothing. A leader stands out amongst their teammates,” Vasquez said. These are all qualities that Andrews possess.

Andrews has been a consistent force for BBE’s 17U squad, averaging 19 points and 6 rebounds per game. Beyond the stats, it’s his commitment to his teammates, coaches, and overall growth that earned him this recognition.

“It’s amazing to be honored by the Army National Guard,” Andrews said. “I’ve grown as a leader over the years, just learning from my peers and coaches.”

Andrews recently committed to play for Coach John Calipari and the Arkansas Razorbacks as he continues to elevate not just his own game, but the standards of excellence and leadership across the Bradley Beal Elite program.
