Just a month after getting his hands on the Larry O’Brien NBA Championship Trophy as a rookie, Moses Moody was back in his hometown of Little Rock, Arkansas on Friday, being honored with his own day.

The Bradley Beal Elite alum brought the Larry O’Brien trophy with him to Little Rock and used it to motivate and encourage a group of young Little Rock kids in conjunction with AR Kids Read for their annual Hoop Session event. It’s an event Moses has participated in since his High School days.

“This event in itself was fun, just being able to interact with the kids, play basketball, promote reading and make some kids smile.”

The event had a Golden tint this year with the inclusion of the NBA championship trophy Moses won with the Golden State Warriors and for that Little Rock Mayor Frank Scott Jr. proclaimed it Moses Moody Day and presented Moses with a key to the city.

“All of these children are looking up to you,” Scott said, and you’re making sure that they continue to be the best, because you are the best.”
